Description and Standards
This is a relay style event. Partner one will complete a full round, followed by partner two and so on until 6 rounds are complete or the 12 min cap.
At the call of 3-2-1 go! Partner one will leave the starting line and complete a 10 Meter shuttle run, then a 15 Meter shuttle run, and finally a 25 Meter shuttle run. The athlete must touch the painted line on the field with one hand at each respective distance, and also touch back at the starting line with one hand for each rep to count.
Upon completion of the 25 Meter shuttle run, partner one will pick up the slamball from the ground behind the starting line to complete a 25 Meter slamball carry. The rep is complete when both feet cross the 25 Meter line with ball in hand.
Once partner one crosses the 25 Meter line, he/she will begin 15 repetitions of slamball over the box. The rep begins with the slamball in the athlete’s hands/arms. The athlete must toss, roll, or drop the ball to the opposite side of the box. The ball may or may not touch the box but is required to cross
over the top of the box. The ball must drop to the ground on the opposite side of the box. The rep is complete when the athlete STEPS OVER the box and touches both feet to the ground on the opposite side of the box where the ball is. Athletes must STEP OVER the box. A jump up or down from the box is NOT ALLOWED. Athletes do not need to reach full extension on step overs, both feet must simply touch the top of the box before stepping back down. Hands ARE allowed to touch the box when stepping over.
Upon completion of 15 slamball over box reps, partner one will complete a 25 Meter slamball carry back to the starting line. The rep is complete when both feet cross the line with ball in hand.
Partner two will then start his/her leg of the relay. Partners will alternate until 6 rounds are complete or the 12 in cap.
